The following is the post by Teacher Irene. She seems to have problems in uploading to our new blog platform and hence the re-post by Rachel. Enjoy!

Tobey turned 6 months old three days ago. To mark the day, we gave Tobey (and ourselves) a little treat ;)


Tobey was sitting on Grandma's lap while Mommy was busy taking pictures

menu: avocado

method: baby-led weaning (BLW)
it's a combination of tasting food and Gymboree's tactile table experience : )

results:
1. Tobey takes his food seriously
2. messy dining table and floor
3. big smile on mommy's face!

PM: first time going to Gymboree


duration: an hour (4-5pm)

what class: playgym
I guess Tobey felt insecure at first, but decided to forget his feeling once he saw the balls.

Mommy's note: nothing can beat Gymboree HK for its cleanliness, safety, and great service :)

Thanks to Papa who was willing to ignore his tight schedule for a while, we truly appreaciated it! : )

Happy Birthday Teacher Candace!

Our beloved Teacher Candace's birthday is today!!! Since today is Chinese New Year/ Valentine's Day, we decided to celebrate her birthday a little early at Gymboree!!

Pictures will come soon, i left them all at gymboree. Sorry all!

WISHING EVERYBODY A HAPPY VALENTINES DAY/ CHINESE NEW YEAR.

1 Feb was Teacher Jackie's birthday! :D
We bought some beautiful cup cakes to celebrate with her after class.
Teacher Payne was so sweet that she bought some flower for the Birthday Girl~ :D

Story time

Even I'm a story class teacher and believe story is best read directly to, I still got completely carried away when I was reading the referred post by Amy (Rafael's mommy on Mackiefamily blog) about animated stories online. Am just amazed with what can be found on youtube these days. 

The animation may not be most original to the stories' illustration, but they are very nicely produced and made the stories extremely entertaining. My favorite are: 

The very hungry caterpillar 

Chicka chicka boom boom 

They may not be better than a story being read directly to. But can be a great alternative to TV.

Art 2 Community helpers - Fire Fighter & Doctor

Look at our little Fire Fighters and doctors at Gymboree~
Audrey, Shasa, Chelsea from Tuesday Art 2; and Bella, Ed, Adam and Ryan from Wednesday Art 2.
They had so much fun from designing their own fire fighter vests and doctor cases.

The Best Costume goes to...

It was such a tough task choosing who would be the winner of our Halloween Dress-up Fun Contest; as all~~ of our children look just so cute in their costumes.  ^^  We went through our pictures over and over again yet still had no clue whom to pick.  But then, when we found out Judah's costume was actually hand-made by his mommy with a cereal box; we were so amazed and so we had decided on the winner. 

Congratulations to Judah and family!!!!!!!!

Check out the pictures, Judah looks super adorable pretending to be an excavator!  Mommy built this very cute excavator with a cereal box plus some wooden pieces and then hand painted it!  It's really a work of art!!

Curtis Lin's 4 year-old Birthday!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Curtis!!!!
Curtis turns to 4 on 5 Dec!
He is a very sweet boy, and his performance in Art 3 is incredible! We have so much fun together in class~
Curtis always shows care for his little brother Ryan (who is turning to 1 year-old in this month!) and his parents.
Teacher Candace took few pictures last week for today to share with everybody!
Especially for Curtis's family to see how good he is in class!
Again! You rock! Curtis!

Lucas's Last class in Art 2

Lucas Widdericm has finished his Art 2 on last Tuesday!
He made a fabulous Muddy Pig and the little Baa Baa back sheep on that day!

  Lucas loves purple! (All teachers knows...:P but he is now "welcoming" more different color on his art works and free painting! This is really great!

  Good Job, Lucas! We will miss you!
